Dr. Prechtl received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH, and her doctorate from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. In 2007, she completed a 3 year surgical residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at the Cambridge Health Alliance, a Harvard Medical School teaching Affiliate. Her surgical training encompassed all aspects of general foot and ankle surgery, in addition to the correction of traumatic injuries to the foot and reconstruction of various adult and pediatric foot pathologies, such as flatfoot disorders, Diabetic Charcot correction and limb salvage. Her clinical abilities also include the management of sports related injuries, fabrication of custom orthoses, wound care, as well as all other general foot pathologies requiring podiatric attention. Prior to joining this office, she has been practicing in the greater Boston area for the last 6 years.
She is currently on staff at: Mount Auburn Hospital, Cambridge Heath Alliance, Lawrence Memorial Hospital and Boston Medical Center. She is an active professional member of The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Massachusetts Podiatric Medical Society, and is an Associate with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
